A theme wedding is my favorite. They can really be a blast. I just went to one of the best weddings and receptions I’ve ever attended. It was a country western themed ceremony.
A quaint little country church was the location of the wedding ceremony. The church was beautifully decorated with satin ribbon and bows, flowers and candles. The bridesmaids and flower girl wore gorgeous baby blue dresses with flowered hair pieces. The tuxes with the white boutonnieres in the lapels made the groomsmen and the little ring boy looked quite handsome. But the real attraction was the beautiful bride and her elegant groom. They were such a lovely couple. When the ceremony ended the happy couple left for the reception in a horse drawn buggy.
Since they chose a ranch to buy as their first home, they thought that would be the perfect place to hold the reception. What a gorgeous place they had with a beautiful house and horse barn on two acres. I would have loved to have started my married life out in a place like this.
You could tell at one glance how hard she worked at setting this reception in motion. It was spectacular. Each checkered tablecloth had centerpieces of wild flowers in little metal buckets. From the country décor to the themed weddings, everything was perfection. There were strings of white christmas lights all around the picnic tables, with a few old fashioned lanterns here and there. There were bales of hay stacked here and there with corn stalks on the barn doors. They had things for the children to do so they could have as good a time as the grown ups. My husband and I did a little dancing while some played horse shoes or gave apple bobbing a try. We were all having a fantastic time.
The wedding cake was spectacular and the wedding topper had us all in stitches. It was the perfect themed cake topper. They even had country themed champagne flutes for the bridal toast. And she made place card holders out of these little cowboy hats. That was such a unique idea.
The food they chose for the reception was unbelievable. They grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, mostly for the kids, and steaks, ribs, and chicken for the adults, with choice of salads and vegetables. There was more than enough to eat. The fun never stopped, we danced, ate great foods, and had a fantastic time. It was a great country western themed reception.
A beach themed reception is another great party to go to. There is nothing more beautiful than a beach wedding ceremony. The sun setting in the water makes a very romantic scene. It’s like a romantic novel with the crashing of waves and the warm gentle breeze all around you. I plan on having a beach wedding and reception too, one day.
It was such a relaxed ceremony, with all wedding party and beautiful summer dresses and beach wear. Her gorgeous crepe bridal dress was as blue as the ocean waters, and his white linen attire made him even more handsome than he already was. This was definitely a dream come true wedding ceremony.
Not only was the ceremony fantastic, but the reception was exceptional too. All the tables were decorated with the beach theme in mind. Seashells, orchids and little starfish placed in a sand filled tray, with a gorgeous white candle on each side, was her centerpieces. She had the most adorable sea shell place card holders and beautiful beach themed champagne glasses on all her tables.
She did a marvelous job decorating in a beach motif, from her wedding cake topper to the lovely theme wedding cakes that I was infatuated with. This was a ceremony and reception I will never forget.

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009Planning an outside wedding wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. It wasn’t as expensive as an indoor wedding would have been. Having the natural beauty of the outdoors saved us a lot of money on decorations. The first thing I had to do was to find the perfect location to have our summer wedding and reception. I could have had our wedding ceremony on the beach, with a fun filled beach party reception, or an elegant garden party, but I chose a ceremony and reception in the park. I found there were several great locations that would work out perfectly for an outdoor wedding.
I decided to go online and get some expert advice on how to plan the perfect outdoor wedding. If you’re going to have your ceremony outside, it’s a good idea to have an alternative plan just in case the weather turns on you. It’s a good idea to have a tent ready to continue your ceremony if it becomes necessary.
We had canopies arranged for our reception and barring bad weather, planned to be wed under a lovely trellis. I mainly concentrated on the decorations for our wedding table and the reception tables. With the park as our main theme, I basically had to make sure I had our table settings and maybe throw in a few extra bouquets of flowers. I thought artificial flowers would be best, since we didn’t want a bee invasion ruining our ceremony. You couldn’t tell they were artificial they were so beautiful,they looked like the real deal. Although planning wasn’t as difficult a chore as I thought, there were quite a few things to take care of. Even though some summer weddings are fantastic, the heat can totally destroy your gorgeous wedding cake.
As far as table décor, I found so many fantastic accessories for our reception. Each of our guest had a park bench place card holder and the centerpieces were flowers arranged around a glass globe with citronella votive candles inside. For each of our guests there were beautiful chrome bottle openers in lovely designed favor boxes, as a summer wedding invitation. The most beautiful part of our wedding table was our cake with it’s gorgeous wedding cake topper.
While shopping for my wedding accessories I saw this topper and couldn’t resist it. They were especially customized for the bride and groom. All I had to do was send in a head shot picture of me and my fiance and they custom made a bride and groom cake topper with our faces. Talk about the best wedding keepsake you can get. Our friends and family were really loved the cake topper and gave us a lot of compliments on it. Our crystal champagne flutes and silver cake serving set was just a few of the fantastic accessories I ordered for our ceremony and reception. It was amazing all the super accessories you can buy online.
It was the perfect wedding and reception, just like I had hoped for. The weather cooperated and we never had to go to plan “B” with the tents. We all loved the super DJ and the fantastic job he was doing, and if I’m right, he probably kept the music and dancing going on for quite a while after we left to go on our honeymoon. Everyone commented on what a lovely ceremony and super reception we had. I’m so glad I decided to go with a wedding in the park. I’d love to do this again and have a wedding renewal in the park, maybe for an anniversary, someday.

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009Once we decided on a beach wedding, I started looking for all my accessories and supplies they had in a beach motif. I started with our beach themed wedding invitations. Since I had a couple of invitations I had to do over again, I was really glad I bought extra. Now that the invitations were in the mail, it was time to find my beautiful beach wedding dress. I looked at several dresses and gorgeous full length gowns, but really couldn’t make up my mind. The full length bridal gowns were so beautiful, but I was afraid they may be too uncomfortable for a beach wedding. I found a beautiful beaded knee length dress made of light weight materials of satin and lace, with spaghetti straps for my wedding.
Linen beach dresses with a crocheted halter covering was what I chose for my bridesmaids. My handsome groom wore a sky blue linen shirt and white linen pants and his groomsmen wore white linen shirts with sand colored linen pants. The little sundress our flower girl wore looked so adorable on her and our ring boy looked so cute in his little khaki shorts and white shirt. All of the wedding party looked great in their wedding attire and the flower arrangements for our bouquets were the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen.
With all the pictures I wanted taken of our wedding ceremony and reception, maybe I should have bought two albums for wedding. I expect photos of every person here and everything at our wedding including our reception and the beautiful beach décor. I especially wanted photos of us taking our vows under the beautiful flowered arch and satin canopy we had put up. After we were pronounced husband and wife, we left for the hotel to change from our wedding attire to our beach attire. In fact a few of the bridesmaids and groomsmen also left to change, while others just wore swim suits under their wedding attire. We told all of our guests to dress casually.
Everyone thought our reception tables were so beautiful with all the beach themed wedding accessories I had found for them. The place I shopped not only had the beach wedding album I wanted, but so many more accessories to go with it. The place card holders I chose were these miniature beach chairs that can later be used as photo frames. The guests seemed to like them, and I thought they were just adorable. I also found the perfect beach wedding favors for our friends and family. We bought them little tea lights in the shape of sand castles to represent our oceanside reception. There was so many terrific accessories and beach décor for our reception tables and our wedding table. Not only did I find the perfect wedding cake topper, but I also bought their beach themed crystal flutes, wine glasses, cake serving set and so much more.
Some of the guests were commenting on the gorgeous décor of our reception tables. Adding to the oceanside atmosphere were lots of gel candles I bought from them to put on our reception tables, and a few tiki torches were placed around the area. With all the accessories and supplies for the wedding and beach party reception, it made planning so much easier. It couldn’t have been a more perfect dream wedding and reception, with the gorgeous ocean as our background and the warm sand under our feet.
Now I can look through our special beach leather wedding photo album and enjoy that day once again.

I kept thinking how I should have bought two wedding albums, because I wanted lots of pictures of our wonderful beach wedding and reception. I planned to have pictures of all the fantastic decorations at our wedding and reception and photos of every guest that attended. I especially wanted photos of us taking our vows under the beautiful flowered arch and satin canopy we had put up. When the ceremony was over, my new husband and I went to our hotel room to change into some more comfortable beach outfits. Although a few of our wedding party went home to change into their beach clothes, there were some that decided to just wear their swimsuits under their wedding clothes. We told all of our guests to dress casually.

I wish I would have known about all there is on the web, when I was planning my wedding. When I started browsing the internet I found so many beautiful wedding and reception accessories for almost any type of wedding you could imagine. There were plenty of suggestions for beach weddings that I thought were very nice with little seashells, starfish and other oceanside designs. There were also some pretty clever ideas for garden and other summer and spring weddings and receptions. I saw gorgeous new wedding collections for all seasons. I know the winter wonderland wedding supplies were absolutely exquisite with that gorgeous sparkle of the winter season. You would be surprised how many people have weddings in the winter and have it outside. I thought to myself having a winter wedding outside would be gorgeous in one sense, and a little weird in the other, not to mention how cold it would be. I think I’d rather have my winter wonderland wedding and reception, indoors, where it’s warm. Maybe a ski resort would be a good place for a winter wedding, with all the fireplaces and cozy winter atmosphere.

Now that I knew what to expect I decided to get all the western gear, like blue jeans, cowboy boots, and cowboy hats so I can participate in all the fun. This is going to be a wedding to remember and will be talked about for years to come. An Unbelievable Bachelorette Party Invitation!
Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009I made a list of everything I’d have to buy for my best friend’s bridal shower, and then once I had that, I got to work. Goal number one was finding a engagement party invitation. Dragging myself from shop to shop hoping to find a good deal or a decent selection isn’t my idea of a good time, so I went searching for supplies online. Boy, did I luck out in that department. I was really surprised to find so much and at such great prices. I even got a few items at a great discount price. The bridal shower invitations were really nice with silver writing on the front and pearl embossed borders. They had all kinds of invitation cards, from general party invitations to specific ones, like party invitations.
The place card holders they had were adorable, so I got those, along with other supplies. The wedding guest book was another present I purchased; it would help the couple keep good records of who gave them which gifts. A particular design for a place card holder struck me as being really neat. Pink lilies adorned the place cards I picked out, and each guest received brightly-wrapped candies in a small plastic purse. Next to the other decorations and presents, they were a real eye-catcher. No matter what the reason for the gathering, they have an appropriate favor box to go with it. I chose little floral patterned boxes which I stacked on a cake plate in layers and sat on the gift table. It was a good-looking way to set it up, and everyone there just came by and grabbed a gift. I settled on manicure kits for our thank you gifts, and then I got a few more things to be handed out to the winners of the contests that we were going to hold. I got little decorative soaps, purse mirrors, novelty key rings and many other little trinkets that made great prizes.
I went online and got some great game ideas for the party too. If you want to see something humorous, try playing ‘Take It Off,” a game where you have to but a bag on your head and then, when the person running the game tells you to take off one piece of clothing, you have to take one off – and it’s astonishing how many women don’t have it come to mind that they ought to take off the bag. This is really a hysterical game to play. We had a hoot playing bridal bingo and some other activities, too. Looking online saved me a ton of money and exposed me to a lot of options I, otherwise, wouldn’t have known anything about. The favors and invitations I bought were a bargain. Not only did I get high quality accessories, but they didn’t cost me half of what I had expected to pay for it all, and there were so many options to choose from. I had to tell the bride to be all about this website I go to, because they have an awesome selection of wedding invitations and favors too, and I thought she should know about it. So, maybe ordering her accessories and reception supplies from here will help her out in the planning and the finances. The bridal shower wouldn’t have been as good without it. The bridal shower was a sensation, and everyone there liked their shower favors, too. The last thing to do is to send them all thank yous for being a guest at the shower. The thank you cards, as you might expect, were purchased on the net as well. With all the web has to offer, I’m helping my friend plan her sons’ birthday party.

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009I put a lot of thought about the theme for our wedding ceremony and reception. I checked on three different themes, beach, garden and country western. But I also considered having a traditional wedding. Destination weddings also sounds like a great idea. A destination wedding in Vegas or maybe the gorgeous oceanside in Hawaii sounded awesome. I would probably go for the Hawaii destination. But then I thought about all the people that would be disappointed that they couldn’t be there, and I had to toss that idea in the dumpster.
Then I thought about a winter themed wedding. But a wedding in July just didn’t seem like the right time to do a winter theme. I wanted a wedding fit for a king and queen, and what better way to do that then with a storybook wedding. There were so many accessories and reception supplies to help with my fantasty wedding. There were even special wedding cakes you could buy that fit in perfectly with the theme. So I finally made up my mind. I wanted a fairy tale wedding and reception.

I picked out floor length dresses for the girls in my wedding party, and found an exquisite gown for myself. My handsome fiance and all of his wedding party looked so elegant in their tuxes, even the little ring boy looked like royalty. As I made my way down the aisle to my handsome prince Charming I felt like I was living a dream. Everything about our ceremony was exquisite. The flowers, the candles, and the gorgeous satin bows on the end of the pews really set the whole thing off. As we were leaving the church, everyone tossed rose petals and cheered us on. We were driven to the reception in a horse drawn carriage, just like royalty.
There were accessories that helped me to make our reception appear as elegant as a king’s castle. I had no problem when it came to the decorations or the wonderful wedding favors I had for our guests. I even found adorable boxes for each and every wedding reception favor. I can’t believe all the accessories I was able to get for my fairy tale reception. They had storybook champagne flutes and little coaches for place card holders. They had everything imaginable for a storybook wedding and reception.
Our guests all had a wonderful time and were very impressed with all the lovely storybook décor. One of my guests said it was the most beautiful ceremony she’d ever been too. I have to admit, it was quite special. A fairy tale wedding was a great idea, and it really helped to be able to have such fantastic accessories to choose from. Since this was a special day in my life, I wanted everything to be special. I made sure their favors for wedding were of a storybook theme, just like our wedding cake and other accessories. I wanted to give our guests more than just favors, that’s why I chose gifts that could also be used as souvenirs. A special something to remind them of sharing this very special ceremony with us.
After the honeymoon was over, there was the job of filling out thank you notes for all of our guests. There was even thank you notes available in storybook theme. Maybe on our 20th anniversary we can do this again.
