Affordable but Wonderful Party Invitations

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

The first thing I did when I decided to give my girlfriend a bridal shower was to put together a list of everything I was going to need for thte shower. The first priority was finding a engagement party invitation. Dragging myself from shop to shop hoping to find a good deal or a decent selection isn’t my idea of a good time, so I went searching for supplies online. That was the right thing to do. The prices and selection were both better than I expected. Some of the deals were just incredible. The shower invitations were very high quality with pearl edges and silver writing. The site also had standard party invitations, graduation party invitations, and many other types of invitations.
The place card holders they had were adorable, so I got those, along with other supplies. Another item I picked out for the bride was a sign-in book for guests so that she could keep track of who gave her what gifts easily. A particular design for a place card holder struck me as being really neat. They had these little plastic handbags that I filled with colorful little candies and found place cards with pink lilies printed on them. When placed on the tables at the shower alongside the gifts and things, they looked cool There’s no type of party that doesn’t have a gift box designed for it. Flower decorations were on the containers I picked out, and I put them all on a serving dish on the table that held the gifts. Every person at the bridal shower took a gift from the platter, and it looked classy that way. I settled on manicure kits for our thank you gifts, and then I got a few more things to be handed out to the winners of the contests that we were going to hold. I got little decorative soaps, purse mirrors, novelty key rings and many other little trinkets that made great prizes.
I went online and got some great game ideas for the party too. In the the game ‘Take It Off,’ each person put a bag over their head and they have to take off one piece of clothing when the leader of the game tells them to, and it doesn’t occur to all of the women to take of the bag; it’s very amusing to watch. It’s comical to watch that game unfold, and it’s a good way to see just how smart your friends are. We also played bridal bingo and a couple other funny games. Looking online saved me a ton of money and exposed me to a lot of options I, otherwise, wouldn’t have known anything about. I know I got a super deal on the favors and invitations I picked out. The things I purchased were well made, and I spent a lot whole less than I thought I would have to, and had a whole lot more choices. Since the website also sold wedding invitations and favors, I let my friend who was about to get married know about it, since I was sure she could use a wide selection to pick from. So, maybe ordering her accessories and reception supplies from here will help her out in the planning and the finances. I know it helped to make this bridal shower a success. The attendees all adored their presents and had a wonderful time. The last thing to do is to send them all thank yous for being a guest at the shower. Which, by the way, I also ordered online. With all the web has to offer, I’m helping my friend plan her sons’ birthday party.

Do your research before choosing wedding gifts!

I debated a long time before deciding on what type of wedding ceremony and reception I wanted to have. I liked the idea of a beach wedding, but a garden wedding or country western theme sounded pretty great too. But on the other hand there is a lot to be said for tradition. Destination weddings also sounds like a great idea. A destination wedding in Vegas or maybe the gorgeous oceanside in Hawaii sounded awesome. The islands of Hawaii would definitely be my first choice. But I had to give that plan up, too many people wouldn’t be able to travel that far.
But there were a lot of other ideas to work with, including a winter wonderland wedding. But since we were getting married in the summer months, I didn’t think I should go with a snow scene. So I decided to go with every young girls dream of marrying a prince, and chose to have a storybook wedding, just like in the fairy tales I read as a child. There were plenty of fairy tale accessories and ideas to work with for the perfect story book wedding. There were even special wedding cakes you could buy that fit in perfectly with the theme. So this was final. I wanted a fairy tale wedding and reception.
I went online and found fairy tale invitations that I could send out. Next I started checking out all the wedding accessories and reception supplies I would need. I picked out floor length dresses for the girls in my wedding party, and found an exquisite gown for myself. All of the groomsmen and the ring boy looked so handsome in their tuxes, but the best looking one of all, was my regal prince. I could feel all eyes on me as I walked down the aisle, and half way expected them to bow to their new queen. Everything about our ceremony was exquisite. All of the gorgeous décor only added to the beauty of our ceremony. As we were leaving the church, everyone tossed rose petals and cheered us on. We were driven to the reception in a horse drawn carriage, just like royalty.
There were accessories that helped me to make our reception appear as elegant as a king’s castle. I found everything to fit the ocassion from decorations to wedding favors. I even found the perfect favor boxes to put each themed wedding reception favor in for our guests. I can’t believe all the accessories I was able to get for my fairy tale reception. I bought little coaches that made perfect place card holders, and exquisite champagne flutes with a storybook design. They just have everything I could possibly need for the perfect fairy tale wedding and reception.
Some of our guests commented on the themed décor and told us what a great time they were having. One of my guests said it was the most beautiful ceremony she’d ever been too. I know I was impressed and it was my wedding. A fairy tale wedding was a great idea, and it really helped to be able to have such fantastic accessories to choose from. I wanted today to be as special for our guests as it was for me and my new husband. Everything at our reception was in a fairytale theme, even our cake, so I wanted themed favors for wedding too. I wanted our guests to leave with something that would remind them of this special day. I wanted to give them something they would look back on with fond memories.
I had a lot of thank you note to take care of when we got back from our honeymoon. There was even thank you notes available in storybook theme. Maybe on our 20th anniversary we can do this again.

Curious about Bell Weddings…

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

The wedding bells rang, rose petals were being tossed and our friends and family were yelling their congratulations as we left the church for our limo ride to the reception. That was the type of wedding ceremony we had. The wedding ceremony was so beautiful and everything turned out just like I wanted it, thanks to all the super accessories I was able to get. We had the best in wedding accessories and reception supplies to make it all a dream come true.

Everything from the lovely invitations to the fantastic party favors for our guests was in their wonderful collection of wedding supplies. On the front of our invitations was silver printing which added to the elegance of the card. I also ordered from this fantastic choice of accesssories, the ring bearer pillow and flower girl basket, which came as a set. It was a beautiful satin garnet color and included a wedding guest book, pen set and wedding garter. All five pieces of wedding accessories at a very reasonable price.

They also had an aisle runner I really liked, so I ordered that to my list of wedding supplies. The process of selecting wedding bell favor was really a great one. All the little bells were ringing at the end of the ceremony, as we made our way to the limo. I really liked the idea of the bell ringing.

I bought accessories online for our reception as well as our ceremony. There was a marvelous selection of reception accessories to pick from. I have this thing for shiny things, and I found a lot of crystal glassware, including beautiful champagne flutes for our reception tables. I chose the bride and groom toasting set for us and champagne flutes with elegant twisted stems for our friends and family. As an extra wedding favor for our friends and family I decided to choose wedding bells favors.

I could have bought every gorgeous item they had on their list, but I think I would have been overdoing it just a little. I did order some very nice wedding favors for our guests that were lovely glass table coasters. Each set of coasters had a special calla lilie design. I found the perfect little silver favor boxes with thank you tags to package the wedding favors in. The shiny gift boxes added that extra sparkle to our guests tables. I purchased flowers and ordered some beautiful candles to make into our centerpieces for the reception tables.

On a smaller table at the of our long table, was our fantastically designed wedding cake. A beautiful wedding topper sat on top of our chocolate cherry three tiered wedding cake. Our topper was really exquisite, with calla lilies and a beautiful ribbon, tied in a bow. Everything at our reception turned out to be perfect. I had to go back online where I bought our wedding album and puchase a second album for all the pictures that were taken at the wedding and reception. We have quite a few pictures of the the cake cutting and sharing of the first piece. I have pictures of our friends and family, the ring boy and flower girl on the dance floor together and our first dance as husband and wife.

The compliments I got from our guests on our wedding décor was really nice, but it really made me feel good to know that they all had such a great time. I plan on having another wedding ceremony and reception for our anniversary one year and I was so glad to hear that my wonderful husband thinks that’s a fantastic idea.

Do your research before choosing wedding favor ideas!

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

I put a lot of thought about the theme for our wedding ceremony and reception. I checked on three different themes, beach, garden and country western. But on the other hand there is a lot to be said for tradition. I also thought about a fantastic destination wedding. A destination wedding in Vegas or maybe the gorgeous oceanside in Hawaii sounded awesome. I would love a tropical island wedding. I soon put that idea to rest, there are too many people on our guestlist for a wedding like that.
Then I thought about a winter themed wedding. But since we were getting married in July, that just didn’t seem appropriate. I decided to go with the last, but not least of the wedding theme ideas, and have a fairy tale ceremony and reception. There were plenty of fairy tale accessories and ideas to work with for the perfect story book wedding. There were even special wedding cakes you could buy that fit in perfectly with the theme. So my decision was made. I wanted a fairy tale wedding and reception.
I had no problem finding the perfect wedding invitations online. There were also plenty of accessories and supplies to pick out for my storybook wedding. I picked out floor length dresses for the girls in my wedding party, and found an exquisite gown for myself. My handsome fiance and all of his wedding party looked so elegant in their tuxes, even the little ring boy looked like royalty. When I walked down the aisle towards my husband to be I really felt like I was royalty. Our wedding ceremony was more beautiful than I could have hoped for. The flowers, the candles, and the gorgeous satin bows on the end of the pews really set the whole thing off. As we were leaving the church, everyone tossed rose petals and cheered us on. We were driven to the reception in a horse drawn carriage, just like royalty.
Our reception was a total success, with all the storybook accessories, it looked like the inside of a castle. I found everything to fit the ocassion from decorations to wedding favors. I even found adorable boxes for each and every wedding party favor. I was amazed at all of the themed accessories there were for our fairy tale reception. I bought little coaches that made perfect place card holders, and exquisite champagne flutes with a storybook design. They had everything imaginable for a storybook wedding and reception.
Everyone had a fabulous time and I received a lot of compliments on the décor. One of my guests said it was the most beautiful ceremony she’d ever been too. I know I was impressed and it was my wedding. I’m so glad that I chose this theme and found so many accessories to help me make it happen. I wanted today to be as special for our guests as it was for me and my new husband. Everything at our reception was in a fairytale theme, even our cake, so I wanted themed wedding party favors too. I felt that a momento of this special day would mean more than any other gift I could give them. A special something to remind them of sharing this very special ceremony with us.
I had a lot of thank you note to take care of when we got back from our honeymoon. There was even thank you notes available in storybook theme. I wouldn’t mind having a fairytale anniversary renewal ceremony.

Gorgeous Unique Bridal Favors !

There are really a lot of unique wedding ideas to work with these days. There is a huge variety of wedding supplies to pick from when you start planning your wedding. I wish I would have known about all there is on the web, when I was planning my wedding. They have a lot of themed weddings that can be planned and so many awesome accessories to make a wedding a success. I think if I would have had use of this unique wedding favor selection, I probably would have gone for a storybook wedding. I browsed through all the great accessories and reception supplies for the fairy tale motif and they are so awesome looking. I saw beautiful bridal veils that you could get in short or long with awesome rhinestones on them and the one I liked the best was a floral veil with embroidery around the edges. The veil that was my favorite would also go with a lot of tiaras they had. That’s probably the one I would have chosen for my fairytale wedding.
It’s amazing to see all the gorgeous little flower baskets and ring pillows they have to offer. There’s even a set you can buy that covers a lot of the accessories you need for any wedding ceremony you choose to have. They have baskets and pillows that have a lot of satin and lace that would go with my storybook wedding, and they have albums, guestbooks and unity candles that matched my theme, too. Planning the wedding of your dreams would be no problem at all, because of all the things they have out there. They also have very unique wedding ideas for your friends and families’ thank you gifts. I would have chosen the carriage candle as a gift for my guests, and I probably would have bought one for myself too, they’re so adorable. There’s also storybook placecard holders that look like castles and very stylish picture frame placecard holders too. I even saw some different wedding ideas for a lot of themed weddings. The winter wonderland wedding is a wonderful theme to choose too. There are snowball place card holders, and unique wedding gift ideas like snowmen tea lights and beautiful winter votive candles in lovely icy blue colors and designs. You can choose from a huge collection of seasonal themed weddings, even a country style wedding.
I saw some unique wedding cake toppers for all kinds of receptions and they also have ones for the couple with a sense of humor. They even have whimsical wedding toppers that can help the party along. My favorite is where the bride is wearing the pants and also the one that is amusing to me is the one that the bride is hooking the groom with a fishing pole. You can also find a lot of romantic toppers in many styles.
Back in my day when we were married we did not have a lot choices, but it would have been great if they did. I would have had my storybook wedding and made it the wedding of my dreams.
